Good at acting spoiled and has a loud voice, but is actually lonely. Speaks his mind clearly but never says things to hurt people. Has many friends and is very social. Very moody; his way of interacting with people changes on a whim, but he's usually down for anything. Claims he's bad at being 'melo' (romantic/sweet) himself, but when the mood strikes, he gets very sweet (he often gets tips from Ryoga). He has zero self-awareness about it, but Shuya is actually very sweet.
