The setup was established when the antagonist Vic Hoskins showed computer graphics of the Indominus, mentioning his intention to use its genetic data to create biological weapons for military use. As the description of it being a miniaturized Indominus rex suggests, it looks quite similar, but in terms of proportions, it is closer to a small theropod like a Raptor rather than a large one. Its size is smaller than the Indominus, and even smaller than medium-to-large theropods like Baryonyx. However, it is significantly larger than a Velociraptor; compared to Blue in the film, the weight class difference is as vast as that between a lion and a Cape buffalo. According to the setting, the Indoraptor is 7.3m long and weighs 1t, while a Velociraptor is about 4m long and weighs only 150kg, with Blue being a relatively large individual at 226kg.
