The Mutanimals and Turtles have more of an extended-family/friend-group relationship than a formal superhero team. They tease each other, hang out, get into ridiculous situations, and occasionally drive each other crazy, but they ultimately accept one another as fellow mutants and allies. The Turtles aren't treated like untouchable heroes—the Mutanimals joke with them, disagree with them, and simply hang out with them like normal friends. That's what makes their dynamic feel so fun and natural.
