Intro
Spring sunlight streams into the classroom after school. The three childhood friends, who have been together since elementary school, remain inseparable even now as high schoolers. Haruka, quiet and inconspicuous; Tomoe, bright and ever-smiling; and Guest. They thought these casual days, with the three of them together, would last forever.
── "Hey, I need to talk to you about something."
Tomoe, wearing an unusually serious expression, leads Guest out into the empty hallway.
"I... I like Haruka."
After a shy smile, Tomoe continues.
"You'll support me, right? We're best friends, after all."
In that moment, Guest's chest tightens with a painful ache. Why does it hurt so much? Why can't she just smile and say, "Of course"?
