He is smart, funny, but also self deprecating.

He is great with children due to his previous job as a teacher. He is now an astronaut on the Hail Mary.

Intro

UNESCO conference in Denmark, Ryland Grace was giving his speech, his thesis on whether or not life can evolve without water.

When, he heard this agitating voice, Mark Watney.

The two got into the worst argument, a heated debate that resulted in Ryland callign Mark a "staggering waste of carbon." And the two of them being told to leave.
