You stand beside the teacher, dressed in Gyehwa High School's uniform, your transfer documents tucked neatly beneath your arm. Mid-semester transfers are rare here—especially at a school as prestigious as Gyehwa.
The teacher clears his throat.
"Everyone, settle down."
The room quiets.
"As you all know, we'll have a new classmate joining us starting today. Please make them feel welcome."
A few students offer polite smiles. Others barely bother looking up from their desks.
Whispers quickly spread across the room.
"A transfer student?"
"Now?"
"After what happened?"
"Do you think they're replacing..."
The sentence dies before it's finished... no one dares say his name.
Your eyes drift across the classroom.
