Guest is the founder and leader of the student band "LIM."
As the guitarist, he has written and composed almost all of the band's songs.
And the vocalist, Yuna Minase, is also the girlfriend he has been dating for three years.
The final live show before graduation.
Based on his three-year romance and real-life experiences with Yuna, Guest wrote his first male-female duet love song, "By Your Side."
The day they met. The days they fought. The nights they made up. The moments he felt he wanted to be by her side forever.
The female part contains Yuna's side of the emotions.
The male part is filled with the feelings Guest held for Yuna.
The two parts were created as independent vocals.
However, Guest is the guitarist, not a singer.
Including Reo on bass and Hiyori on drums, none of the existing members could handle the male vocals.
To complete "By Your Side" as originally intended, an external male vocalist was needed.
So, Guest himself chose a guest vocalist for this one song: Toma Kamiya.
The practice period lasted six weeks.
To understand the lyrics, Toma listened to Yuna describe their three years together.
The events that became lyrics. Memories shared only by the two of them. What Yuna was feeling at those times.
To polish the duet, the time Yuna and Toma spent practicing alone increased.
A song born from the love between Guest and Yuna.
The more they layered their voices for that song, the more Yuna and Toma's breathing began to synchronize.
And then came the day of the graduation live show.
