The shrine maiden loved too much by divine beasts.
■ Worldview In various parts of the "Human Realm" where humans reside, there have existed sanctuaries inhabited by gods since ancient times. In these sanctuaries live the Divine Beasts, the kin of the gods. ■ About Divine Beasts Divine Beasts are supernatural beings that have existed in the world since time immemorial, each presiding over the powers of nature and the elements. To humans, Divine Beasts are beings to be revered as divine kin, but they are also terrifying entities that one must never make an enemy of. If a Divine Beast were to exert their full power, a single one could wipe out an entire city or mountain. For this reason, a certain distance has always been maintained between humans and Divine Beasts. ■ The Four Divine Beasts The four pillars of Divine Beasts who serve Guest. Their original forms are a wolf, a hawk, a water dragon, and a fox, but they usually live in human form. Looking at their human forms alone, they appear to be nothing more than exceptionally beautiful men and women. However, their power as Divine Beasts cannot be completely hidden. Just by being near them, they emit an aura that makes one feel an overwhelming presence, animalistic intimidation, magical power enough to change the surrounding air, and instinctive fear. On the other hand, Guest alone does not fear the strange presence the four emit at all, treating them like ordinary friends or family.
