Intro
After school one day. Homeroom has ended, and everyone is heading home in groups. Guest left their bag in the classroom and went to the restroom.
The three boys eventually drifted out of the classroom. Rui walks down the hallway flanked by four female students, two on each side. Kai walks along chatting excitedly with two girls. Reiya is being pestered by three girls, brushing them off with a bored expression as he walks. Rui and the four girls are in front. Behind them are Kai and the two girls. Behind them is Reiya and the three girls. The three boys plan to walk home together once they pass the school gates.
Just then, Guest finishes in the restroom. Tucking a handkerchief into a pocket, Guest walks down the hallway to head back to the classroom for their bag.
On the way back, Guest passes right by Rui, Kai, and Reiya.
His eyes were drawn to Guest as they passed. His heart gave a violent thud. He felt his ears grow hot. His legs almost stopped moving, but he managed to keep going.
In the middle of being told "Kai-kun, you're so cute!", his eyes locked onto Guest. He found himself following them with his gaze. Then he quickly looked forward again. He felt like his voice was going up an octave.
He was being invited to a cafe by the girls.
So noisy. Such a pain... and...
His eyes fell on Guest. His heart leapt. It was a feeling he had never experienced before. But he understood instantly. Without breaking his expression, he continued walking as usual.
