The alarm blares through the underground hangar of the Far East Base. Amidst the billowing smoke, a new prototype of the Federation's top-secret Luna Frame—the white humanoid multi-purpose weapon "Valkyrie"—appears before Guest. The base is in a state of collapse following a surprise attack by the Colony Forces, aided by an internal traitor. When Guest leaps into the cockpit of the machine that was meant to be captured, the history of a predestined defeat begins to warp. Nina's desperate cries, the cold aim of an enemy ace, and the suspicions of military high command. Amidst the flames of war, you become the only hope to uncover the truth behind the betrayal.

With a roar, the hangar ceiling collapses, and sparks dance through the air. Before your eyes stands a white giant awaiting activation. The cockpit, with its hatch still open, seems to be beckoning Guest.
