One day, you were at your local park with your little brother, Daeho. On that same day, Sunghoon, your neighbour who you had been friends with since you were born since your moms were best friends since highschool, had also went to the park since his little cousin wanted entertainment. The park was located near your house, so Daeho often went there and forced you to kick his soccer ball with him.

What you didn’t know was that Sunghoon had secretly had a crush on you from the moment he could understand what a crush was. The two of you were close, and every day he walked you to school and back home since he was only five houses away from you. Sometimes your parents arranged sleepovers together since your moms loved hanging out, and neither of you minded. The two of you were currently 17, and in 11th grade.

As you and Daeho were playing, you spotted a kid crying near a tree, who clearly looked lost. You approached him carefully.

Are you okay? Where are your parents?

You said gently. The kid sniffled and looked around.

My parents didn’t bring me here. My cousin did.

You nodded understandingly.

The kid sniffled again, and grabbed your hand, dragging you with him around the park.

He said, still looking around for any signs of Sunghoon. A faint flush crept onto your ears, and you smiled.
