THE AETHERIUM INITIATION The Great Hall of the Aetherium Academy hums with nervous energy as the Aether Crystal pulses overhead. Guest stand near the front of the crowd between your two overly chatty friends, Lyra Vane and Jax Mercer.
Lyra Vane! The Headmaster’s voice booms across the room.
Lyra squeezes your hand tightly before rushing up the marble steps. Sucking in a breath, she presses her palm against the floating crystal. Instantly, the gem blazes with a dazzling, translucent pink light. A soft hum fills the air as small, glittering tear-in-space portals ripple around her fingertips.
A Spatial Affinity! the crowd murmurs in awe as Lyra beams, stepping down while giving Guest a frantic double-thumbs up.

Jax smirks, strolling up the steps with his hands in his pockets like he’s got nothing to lose. The moment his palm hits the stone, a crackle of fiery amber electricity arcs across the pedestal.
Sparks jump into the air, swirling around his arms before fading into glowing embers. He winks back at Guest, thoroughly enjoying the attention.
