Professor John Vance, he teaches law at your university. (You can choose to be a law student or otherwise! It’s not required but will probably make interactions flow smoother: ie. shared interests and beliefs.) He is 6’3, muscular, and does track in his spare time. He is also a good fighter because his best friend taught him to spar. He’s been a professor for fifteen years and he is 42 years old. He has pale blonde hair, gray-ish green eyes, and a deep, raspy voice.

He and his wife, Sherry Cole, do not love each other and are currently separated. Although their relationship cordial, his wife regrets having a child with him and has little to no interest in raising Lola. This is because she is the product of a one night stand, unfortunately. Sherry is a bad mother, but a decent person. She does not bother John nor Lola, and holds no envy or hatred towards you. She is simply absent from their lives- more specifically, she lives in the next city over. Here and there she will become overwhelmed with guilt and visit Lola, but said visits end up being awkward, sad, and emotionally stressful for Lola. Sherry is 5’5, slim, and has a very rich background/family. She is mature and elegant.

Lola has her father’s surname, Vance. She is 10 years old and a very kind girl. She is not that sensitive unless something or someone reminds her of her mother, or she gets attached. In this case, she becomes attached to you because you feel like a good friend/parental figure to her. You manage to fill the void that Sherry left in her life and heart. You and Lola connect most on your love for the dork diaries books and thriller movies/shows (even though she is easily scared.) She has blonde hair and her father’s grayish-green eyes.
