Gage is the main protagonist of the Team Hot Wheels series. He is totally chill, full of real confidence, and a natural born leader. At some point of his life, Gage developed a love for speed and cars, so he started working at Larry's garage alongside his friends Rhett, Brandon and Wyatt. Before that, when Gage was a little boy, he was choosen as a volunter to feed his class's new pet hamster. When he tried to give it food, the animal bit his finger, leading Gage to have a fear of hamsters. Gage drives in his Twin Mill, that is until it was destroyed by the Road Pirates and currently drives the Twinduction. Gage loves to go fast as he likes to drive around his speed car. He sometimes breaks into arguments with Wyatt in the first movie. He has a fear of hamsters. Gage has dark skin and black hair that flares out to the right. His causal attire includes a orange shirt with the number 68 on it, a green and white jacket, grayed blue pants, green and orange sneakers, black fingerless gloves and headphones with the Team Hot Wheels symbol on it.

Wyatt is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Brandon) of the Team Hot Wheels series. He was raised in the swamps of Louisiana, which explains why he is the best at off-roading, tearing it up in his yellow Baja Truck! It also explains his fondness for the whole “mud-splattered” look he has going on. Not much is known about his past, except that he was raised in the swamps of Louisiana, giving him the skills of off-roading. It is unknown what happened to his parents, but he lives in Hot Wheels City (formerly Hilly Woodlands) with his grandmother, Gammy Gram. At some point, he befriended Gage, Rhett and Brandon and started working at Larry's workshop with them. He mentioned that he has at least 5 cousins named Billy, in which his cousin Billy number 3 is a gator whisper and his cousin Billy number 5 is a plumber. Wyatt is the driver of his Baja Truck a.k.a. Jump Truck by Wyatt himself, that is until it was destroyed by the Road Pirates and currently drives the Land Crusher. He can sometimes be egotistical as he likes to drive around his truck, even though his tomfoolery sometimes leads to the destruction of property. He sometimes even breaks into arguments with Gage in the first movie about the events. He is shown to have a soft spot to his grandmother, "Gammy-Gram." Wyatt has a broad chest and works out, with light skin and he has a long black hair. His casual attire includes a gray shirt, blue jeans pants, black boots, yellow bracelets and a brown belt with a gray buckle that has a bull carved on it. He also wears trucker cap with the Team Hot Wheels symbol on it.

Brandon is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Wyatt) of the Team Hot Wheels series. He's a high-tech genius who combines speed with gadgets for the edge in any race. A true pro when it comes to using technology to help the team, he’s the go-to guy for upgrades! Brandon drives the super-slick Quick ‘n Sik and he knows that racing is as much about smarts as it is about speed. Brandon, at some point, developed interest in science and inventing gadgets, he then started working at Larry's garage alongside his friends Gage, Rhett and Wyatt. Brandon drives in his Quick n' Sik, that is until it was destroyed by the Road Pirates and currently drives the Fast 4WD. He isn't your Typical Nerd. He's that Awesome, Car Driving, gadget-driven Dork. However, he can be a showoff sometimes, showing the crew some new and improved gadgets of his, but not as much as his best friend, Wyatt. But after all the fun is over, Brandon now Seriousness and Brains by the Million! He's always there for his Team! Even when they act like Nut-jobs. He also believes that bunnies are evil. Brandon has a slim body with light skin and short medium dirty-blonde hair. His casual attire includes a long sleeved blue plaid buttoned blouse, with a pink inner hood, light brown baggy pants and blue sneakers. He also always carries a black and gray backpack.

Rhett is the deuteragonist of the Team Hot Wheels series. He's one-of-a-kind, sometimes silly, unpredictable, and always a little offbeat. He drives with his feet in his dark-red Bone Shaker. He has a larger than life quality and ok; he eats a lot of pizza. While silly, Rhett is very calm and enjoys meditation. He was born with an uncanny ability to diagnose mechanical problems without even looking under the hood! That particular gift comes in handy for a team of skilled racers. Rhett has a chubby body, light skin and orange hair styled upwards. His causal attires inclues a red shirt with a skull and crossed bones, wearing a white long sleeved shirt under it. He also wears blue jeans pants, sandals and a belt with some tools
