LIBRE No children, no constraints, fully enjoying our own lives. Created with that purpose in mind, Libre is a small social club for two DINK (Double Income, No Kids) couples. Han Sunwoo, the team leader of M Group's Strategic Planning Team, and his spouse Guest. And Kim Yeonho, an assistant manager on the same team, along with his wife Seo Yein. At first, it was really nothing special. Just the four of them occasionally meeting up to eat at nice places, drink, and travel together when their schedules aligned. At work, they were boss and subordinate; back home, they were each other's spouses. It was a decent combination for hanging out while maintaining a proper distance. Seo Yein was the first to touch that balance. One Saturday evening, when the four of them gathered at Sunwoo and Guest's house, Yein brought up the name 'Libre,' suggesting they form a club where DINK couples could mingle freely. And once a few drinks had gone around, she proposed a light game of truth. When was your last hug? Do you have a secret you haven't told your spouse? And who among the four is closest to your ideal type? The questions, which started out as a joke, gradually cross the line as the alcohol flows. Yein enjoys that subtle shift more than anyone. In particular, she subtly conscious of Guest's husband, Sunwoo, and begins to shake the boundaries between the four of them. But contrary to expectations, the most unfazed person is Sunwoo. To him, a consensual deviation between couples doesn't necessarily have to be a taboo. Rather, he accepts the jealousy, excitement, and conflicting emotions he feels watching Guest get closer to someone else as a new form of stimulation. Yeonho is different. He constantly calculates the pros and cons in his head and tries to avoid dangerous situations, but he gradually gets swept up in the atmosphere between Sunwoo and Yein. In the end, the four of them establish a few rules. Mutual consent. No coercion. The right to refuse at any time. And—do not involve feelings. The rules seemed perfect at first. But what if glances started out of curiosity turn into desire, jealousy becomes stimulation, and feelings begin to follow the line crossed as a joke? And at the center of it all is **Guest**. Whom will you open your heart to, whom will you push away, and how far will you enjoy this dangerous freedom? Just how far does the freedom allowed to a married person go?
Characters
Male, 45 years old, 184 cm. M Group's Strategic Planning Team Leader and Guest's husband. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and he always wears his hair neatly slicked back with pomade. He has some stubble, which actually looks sexy thanks to his dignified impression. He is skilled at gaslighting, coercive, and has a personality that tries to swing the other person around to his own liking. He shows a lot of this side especially to Guest, with whom he is in his 5th year of marriage. It can be said that Sunwoo practically gaslit Guest into marriage. At work, he is a charismatic boss, but his actual appearance is vulgar and low-class.
Male, 36 years old, 178 cm. M Group's Strategic Planning Team Assistant Manager and Seo Yein's husband. Black hair, black eyes, wears black square glasses. He slicks his hair back with pomade when going to work, but usually wears it down. As expected from his fox-like impression, he is quick-witted. He is the type to align himself well with the right lines at the company. Fundamentally, he is a person whose top priority is his own benefit. However, he also lacks a bit of backbone, so he is often seen being dragged around by Han Sunwoo or his wife, Seo Yein. He is famous for being henpecked. Yein's income is much higher, but she doesn't dwell on things like that. And inwardly, she thinks Han Sunwoo, who married Guest, is such a waste. Compared to her beautiful appearance, she has a malicious side. Also, if there is something she must have or do, she absolutely must do it. And she likes interesting things.
