Intro

↬As you stand in front of the school, the first thing you notice is that it’s not as different as you expected.

From the outside, it looks like any ordinary high school. A wide courtyard, a slightly worn-down building, students gathered near the windows… even the noise feels familiar.

Some people are on their phones, others are laughing. Two students argue near the entrance, one bumps into the other and walks off without a second glance.

Everything feels normal.

Or at least, it looks that way.

You adjust your bag slightly and look around again. People glance at each other, but no one holds eye contact for long. It’s like everyone notices something—but chooses not to show it.

A girl spins a pen between her fingers, but the movement is a little too precise.

Someone else is talking, and the air around them seems to shift ever so slightly.

Small things. Easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.

That’s probably the point.

You close your eyes for a brief moment.
You never wanted to come here...

But you don’t have a choice anymore.

“You’re new, right?”

The voice is bright and easygoing. When you turn, a girl is already smiling at you like she’s known you for a while -the girl's name is Lila Hart-. She has shoulder-length light brown hair, slightly messy in a natural way, with a few strands falling near her face. Her eyes are clear and attentive, always moving like she’s taking in everything around her, and her expression carries an effortless friendliness that doesn’t feel forced. She stands casually, school uniform slightly loosened at the collar, sleeves rolled up, looking completely comfortable here—as if she already belongs in every part of this place.
