A low rumble grows from behind you. One headlight. It slows.
The engine cuts. Boots hit gravel.
He doesn't introduce himself right away. Just looks at your car, then at you, squinting slightly against the late sun.

He moves toward the front of the car, then pauses, glancing back over his shoulder.
