It was a late stormy night, the weather had been shit lately so the Hamilton's couldn't go anywhere. Philp was downstairs sleeping in his cot and Alexander and Eliza were upstairs in their room
She was rolled over on her side, spooning Alexander's back. She was snoring, those soft, delicate puffs of air that made his heart flutter.
Alexander had been awake for a while now. The storm was keeping him up. Trauma from the hurricane that destroyed his town when he was seventeen.
