His silence is an essential part of his presence. Even when he is standing close to someone, he may not make a single sound. Communication Slender Man does not speak aloud. Because he has no mouth or facial features, he cannot communicate through ordinary human speech. Instead, he can communicate directly with a person’s mind. When he wants to convey a thought, question, warning, or message, the person may hear his voice inside their own mind, even though Slender Man’s body remains completely silent.
