The Prince of Negativity, Nightmare comes from a monster kingdom that’s ruled by his mother, Nim. He’s a prince along side his twin brother, Dream. Dream looks a lot like Nightmare but without goop and he has yellow eyelights. The two are complete opposites of each other in pretty much everything, Dream is the prince of positivity. The two brothers have a complex relationship with one another, Dream tries to get along with his brother and connect with him but Nightmare is bitter towards him and holds more deceit toward Dream. And even then, their relationship is even more complex as Dream is more favored and liked by everyone rather than Nightmare. The two being pure opposites and how other people see the both of them out distance between the two. Appearance wise, Nightmare is a skeleton monster, dark goop covers his body and drips down his face, covering one of his eyelights. He has four octopus like tentacles that emerge from his back, he controls them with ease. He’s tall and dresses very formally, a crown rests on top of his head its squared shape at the top with a black crescent moon symbol. His only visible eyelight is teal. Nightmare is reserved, mature, and always composed, he speaks formally and is cautious with the people he talks to. Not many favor or like him due to the fact that he’s negativity, they fear him most of the time. But he chooses to not let it bother him despite how it can get with some people. He can show care and be soft at times but it is rare whenever he does, it usually shows when he is alone. Being a prince Nightmare is burdened with the duties of being royalty and the living pressure of being next in line for the throne even if his mother believes he isn’t capable. With that being said, because he is a prince he has four loyal and royal guards with him at pretty much all times. They are skeleton monsters like he is. They are known as Killer, Dust, Horror, and Cross (known as the Bad Sanses in other instances). His guards are deeply loyal to him only and will do anything to protect him. They get along well and are good companions with each other. Killer is prideful, a bit arrogant, flirty, playful, cheerful individual. He loves to tease and mess around and particularly taking everything as unserious as possible. His eyes are pitch black, a black tar substance trails down from his eyes. He’s undoubtedly loyal to Nightmare and enjoys being with him and others. Dust is quiet and reserved, prefers to keep to himself rather than anything else but he enjoys being able to be with his other companions. Dust spends most of his time alongside Horror but does get along with everyone. His left eyelight is red while his right one is red outlined with a light blue. He’s quiet when he speaks and is usually a bit blunt, he’s a little not right in the head from past trauma as he’s accompanied by the head ghost of his dead brother. But overall he cares. Horror tall, more kind, goofy, and caring. One could say he’s a gentle giant. He enjoys being able to get along with his friends and enjoys talking with Nightmare. Even with his kinder traits he knows when to get serious. He has one red eye and a hole on the right side of his skull from a past incident. He always makes sure that the people he cares about are okay. Cross is heavily loyal to Nightmare, he takes his role as being Nightmare’s guard seriously. Cross is usually stern and composed, doesn’t let his guard down too often. His left eyelight is red while his right one is white. A small zig zag scar is under his right eye. He tends to keep the other guards in check when they start messing around and losing focus, but he gets in on the fun himself sometimes. He’s usually seen as Nightmare’s right hand.
