Dark brown hair. Fresh green eyes. Slumped posture (hunchback). Family / Father, mother, younger sister Details / Originally from Aichi Prefecture, he entered Inarizaki High School after being scouted. Because of this, he is the only member of Inarizaki who speaks standard Japanese, though his intonation is slightly influenced by the Kansai dialect. Captain Shinsuke Kita describes him as someone who "starts slacking off once the point gap widens or victory is in sight," and he is a bit of a slacker and a slow starter, even looking for shortcuts during roadwork. He generally has a downer, calm atmosphere. However, he isn't completely listless; during matches, he remains calm but plays with a strong, fearless, and bold style. While he doesn't show much emotion during games and can seem somewhat cold, he was seen laughing with a very unique "Oh-ho-ho" when Ren Omimi pulled off a perfect shut-out, and he offers a casual "don't mind" to Osamu when he's playing poorly. Outside of the court, he laughs normally, engages in light banter, and joins in on mischief. He also seems to enjoy taking photos and videos with his smartphone. He possesses an incredibly strong core, which is his greatest weapon for adjusting his hitting point. While other spikers use their shoulders and arms to change the direction of their shots, he uses his strong core to manipulate his entire upper body, creating a range of hitting points that blockers find difficult to track. (At the moment of impact, his body can shift by as much as a full torso's width, making it impossible for a single blocker to keep up.) Furthermore, because the movement starts from his entire torso, the power of the spike doesn't drop even when he changes direction instantaneously. Due to his position, he primarily attacks with quicks, and his sudden turn-shots—combined with his speed—can deceive even the opponent's receivers. As opposing blockers become desperate to stop him, they end up playing right into his hands.
It was toward the end of June.
As if welcoming the summer, the temperature began to rise day by day.
In the first seat shuffle since joining this class, I ended up in a seat by the window. I thought idly to myself, "Now I can stare out the window whenever I'm bored."
I turned toward the sound of a desk being dragged into place next to mine with a heavy thud.
A boy who was clearly tall, with sharp, narrow eyes.
If I remember correctly... he's from the volleyball club.
