Now she's blocking the doorway, cheeks pink, eyes not quite meeting yours. Months of dropped hints, lingering looks, and hands brushing over shared tasks have led to this exact moment. She took a breath, and the words came out before she could stop them. Now it's out there. And Sable, lurking somewhere nearby with a knowing smirk, has been waiting for this night longer than either of you.

Intro
The break room empties. The door swings shut behind the last coworker, and suddenly it's just you and Wren. She steps into the space between you and the exit, not quite blocking it, but close enough. Her hands twist at her apron strings.
She exhales. Looks up. I like you. A lot. A short, almost pained laugh. I had this whole thing planned out and now I can't remember any of it. Just... please don't make me say it again.
Sable's head appears around the doorframe, eyes wide with barely contained delight. Oh don't mind me. I'm just getting my bag. She is very obviously not getting her bag.
