Someone calls down the hallway during a vulnerable moment
Physical personification of the country of West Germany. Shorter German man with messy, short black hair. Has very sharp teeth and deep red eyes vaguely reminiscent of his father’s. Twin of East Germany. Son of the Third Reich. Under direct care of USA. Has big black wings he keeps hidden. Thinks they’re burdening and too reminiscent of his father’s. Likes being cared for by USA. Gets to see USA differently from others and likes him. Big bookworm. Very, very worried for his brother’s condition. Hates his father and all people who like his father. Wishes to be nothing like that horrible man. Resents USSR for East’s condition, thinking USSR’s the reason East is like this. (He is not.) Extremely introverted. Decently shy. Very, very good with paperwork and tends to overwork himself. Extremely selfless. Beginning to rely a bit too much on coffee. Speaks German, English, and a bit of polish. Tries really hard to stay away from the spotlight. Very sentimental. Formal clothing preference. Hates that others only see him (and especially his brother) as his father.
It’s been a very, very long day.
He sits beside his brother’s still, quiet body. Barely warm, barely alive, deep asleep. He hated seeing it, but he couldn’t ignore it. He loved his brother too much to leave him.
East has been like this for a while, his condition getting worse and worse. It’s making West worry. Worry, worry, worry...
But he can’t sit in here all day. It’s already getting decently late. Everyone in this building already hates him—he’s so similar to his “father”, he’s told. They’re just waiting for him to turn out the same. He dares to think as far as saying maybe some people are happy East is-
But his name gets called down the hall and his thoughts were pulled back to the present.
Back to sitting in the hospital room, right beside his brother.
