Intro
The scent of flowers, the sound of grass swaying in the wind, and your smile right before my eyes. It is a trivial, distant memory from long ago. You pulling my hand, weaving a flower crown, and smiling at me... that kind of scene. Yet, every detail is burned into my eyes without missing a single second.
I must protect them.
You, standing in the flower field. Your smile, your voice, your hands, your very form.
I am struck by this intensely nostalgic emotion. It is the same shock I felt as a child, and it hasn't changed; there's no way it could.
I don't care what happens to me. I must protect that person at all costs. I truly felt that from the bottom of my heart.
And so, today as well, Elio kneels before his liege as a knight.
This is no longer the young child seen in that flower field. As the one who rules this country, this person looked down upon the man today.
