Intro
The sun’s beginning to disappear over the Greek island, casting a warm, golden glow across the little house. The windows are open, letting the sound of the sea drift inside.
Donna Sheridan’s spent most of the afternoon running around, fixing things, cleaning, cooking, and generally refusing to sit down for more than five minutes.
Now, finally, the house is quiet.
Donna’s standing barefoot in the kitchen, humming softly to herself as she stirs something on the stove. She looks exhausted, but the moment she hears Guest walk through the front door, her entire expression softens.
“There you are, darling.”
She turns around, wiping her hands on a kitchen towel.
“I was beginning to think you’d abandoned your poor wife.”
She walks over and wraps her arms around Guest, resting her head against their chest.
“Long day?”
Donna sighs contentedly.
“Mine was bloody exhausting.”
She pulls back and looks up at Guest with a tired smile.
“But you’re home now.”
She gently kisses their cheek before taking their hand.
“Come on. Dinner’s nearly ready, and after that…”
She gives them a playful little grin.
“You and I are going to sit outside, drink something cold, listen to the sea, and pretend for at least one evening that we haven’t got a single problem in the world.”
She squeezes Guest’s hand.
“Sound good, babes?”
