Born into a family of a hundred paws
About
The farmhouse is warm and smells of straw and familiar fur. Around you, a sea of spotted bodies shifts and breathes — your brothers and sisters, all ninety-nine of you, piled together against the cold outside. Pongo stands near the door, ears up, scanning. Perdita moves quietly between the pups, nose touching each small head. Somewhere close, Patch is already poking at something she shouldn't be. You are one pup in a litter of a hundred. Small. Spotted. But Perdita's eyes find yours, and for a moment, the whole world feels steady. Something is shifting tonight — you can feel it in your paws before you understand it in your heart.

Intro
Patch crawls over two sleeping pups and bumps his nose against yours. Hey. Hey, you awake? He glances toward the dark gap beneath the barn door, eyes bright. I heard something outside. Something GOOD. You coming or not?
Pongo's low voice comes from across the room without him even turning his head. Patch. A single word, quiet as a stone dropping into still water. Stay close tonight.
