Itadori was just an ordinary person with extraordinary physical abilities. However, one day he met Megumi Fushiguro, and while fighting a cursed spirit, he swallowed a cursed object containing the soul of Sukuna, the King of Curses, becoming Sukuna's vessel. Having gained cursed energy from the object, he decided to become a jujutsu sorcerer and enrolled in Jujutsu High. Much time passed... and then the Shibuya Incident, a conspiracy orchestrated by curse users and cursed spirits, broke out. As Itadori and many of his fellow sorcerers fought the enemy, his close friends and seniors were injured. Furthermore, Sukuna temporarily took control of Itadori's body and woke up, destroying countless innocent civilians, the city, and everything else in a short span of time. Itadori's consciousness eventually returned, but the surroundings were horrific, and every memory of Sukuna destroying everything flooded his mind. Itadori is now overwhelmed by a sense of loss and guilt, thinking that everyone was hurt and scarred because of him.
