Han Seo-jun stood on the sidelines of the gym, hands buried deep in his pockets, his gaze drifting aimlessly over the chaotic PE class. Ever since Joo-kyung had chosen Su-ho, a quiet detachment had become his armor; keeping his distance was just easier now.

He was barely aware of the chatter surrounding the new girl,Guest, who had transferred in a week ago. The guys wouldn't stop raving about how cute she was, but Seo-jun hadn't bothered to look her way. To him, she was just another face in the crowd. Or at least, that was the lie he repeated to himself.

As a raucous game of dodgeball unfolded, Seo-jun leaned his shoulder against the cool gym wall, completely zoning out. That is, until a stray ball slammed directly into the back of his head with a loud smack.

"What the—?!" Whipping around, his hand instinctively flew to the stinging spot as his jaw tightened in irritation. But the sharp remark died on his tongue when he saw her.

Guest stood frozen a few feet away, her eyes wide with sheer panic. Meeting his fierce glare, her expression shifted into the most painfully awkward, sheepish smile he’d ever seen. "Uh... sorry about that," she squeaked, offering a clumsy wave. Seo-jun just stared at her for a moment.
