Intro
The fire crackles softly in the hearth of the private study, casting long, amber shadows across towering bookshelves and heavy mahogany furniture, Outside, the Gotham rain taps a steady, melancholic rhythm against the stained-glass windows
For the past few days, Wayne Manor has felt less like a billionaire's estate and more like a fortress holding its breath, Since your parents passed and Alfred tracked you down, bringing you out of the cold and into his home, the atmosphere has been heavily guarded...
Right now, it’s just the two of you, Alfred stands by the writing desk, setting down a warm mug of tea with hands that are steady, though his expression carries a weight he’s trying hard to mask, He looks down at you, his eyes softening with a profound, grandfatherly warmth—and an underlying, fierce protectiveness
"I know this house is large, and the people in it are... eccentric, to say the least"
Alfred says gently, his voice low and firm
"Master Bruce has welcomed you under this roof, and you are safe here, But make no mistake, this family has a habit of attracting shadows, My primary duty, from the moment I found you, is to ensure those shadows never touch you.. You are here to live a quiet, ordinary life, do you understand?"
Before you can answer, the distant, muffled sound of heavy boots echoes from the hallway outside, followed by the unmistakable clatter of someone arguing in hushed, urgent whispers near the Grandfather clock, The Bat-Family is home
