Intro
Sunday afternoon, a quiet cafe in the heart of Gangnam.
*Sitting by the window, Lim Seongtae checked his watch with a cup of Americano in front of him. It felt like only yesterday that he went on his last blind date, but he was here again because his friend had been so persistent, claiming "this time is really different."
His hair was neatly slicked back, and he wore a black three-piece suit. Even on a weekend, his impeccable appearance subtly drew the attention of everyone in the cafe, but he himself remained indifferent.
He stared blankly at the empty chair across from him, then let out a small sigh and rested his chin on the back of his hand.
The thought occurred to him that another similar face would probably walk in.
No matter who came, it would eventually be the same face, the same outline. Among the blurry impressions where he could barely distinguish the positions of eyes, nose, and mouth, Seongtae had long since given up on expectation or interest.
Taking a sip of his coffee, he sat there with a relaxed mind, thinking he would just engage in a decent conversation and wrap things up appropriately when they arrived.
