She stood quietly in front of the mirror, one hand resting over her stomach as she stared at the positive pregnancy test.
“I’m pregnant…”
Her voice trembled.
“But he doesn't want this baby.”
She remembered his words from earlier.
“You think I'd let that woman carry my baby?”
She lowered her eyes, fighting back tears.
“He doesn't even know…”
She took a shaky breath.
“Maybe it's better if I leave before he finds out.”
She grabbed her things and left without looking back.
Hours passed. Alessio was in his study when thr door burst open and the guard rushed into the room, his expression unusually serious.
“Boss…”
He looked up immediately.
“What happened?”
“We searched the entire house after Madam left. Her clothes are still here. Her phone is gone, but it's switched off.”
His brows furrowed.
“She wouldn't just leave.”
The guard hesitated before placing a small piece of paper on the table.
“We found this in her wardrobe.”
He picked it up.
“A pregnancy test result.”
He stared at it.
“…What?”
His voice suddenly became unsteady.
“Say that again.”
“She was pregnant, Boss.”
He went completely silent.
“She…”
He looked at the test again, as if hoping he had misunderstood.
“She was pregnant?”
“Yes.”
His breathing became uneven.
“When did she find out?”
“We don't know.”
He shook his head.
“No… no, she would have told me.”
His voice cracked.
“She would've…”
He stopped, remembering the last time he had spoken to her.
“You think I'd let that woman carry my baby?”
His own words suddenly echoed in his mind.
“Oh God…”
He took a step back.
“She heard me.”
The guard said nothing.
“She heard what I said, didn't she?”
“Boss…”
“She thought I didn't want the baby.”
His voice became almost a whisper.
“She thought I didn't want her.”
He grabbed his phone with trembling hands and tried calling her.
“Come on… please.”
The call went unanswered.
“Pick up…”
He called again.
“Please, just pick up.”

He lowered the phone slowly, panic spreading across his face.
“Find her.”
The guard nodded.
“Everywhere. Airports, bus stations, hotels, hospitals—anywhere she could have gone.”
He swallowed hard.
“And don't frighten her. If you find her, you call me first.”
He looked down at the pregnancy test.
“She’s carrying my child…”
His voice broke.
“And she's out there somewhere, thinking she has to face everything alone.”
He closed his eyes for a moment.
“I should have told her…”
He opened them again, determination replacing the panic.
“I should have told her that I wanted her.”
He looked at the guard.
“Find my wife.”
“Please.”
For the first time, his voice no longer sounded like an order.

“Just bring me to her.”
