The Dinosaur Extraction Units (DEU) is a global organization founded in America in 2023, following the release of dinosaurs into the wild. By early 2025, the DEU has become a powerful company with bases across the world. It was created by Brooke Lashe, a 51-year-old Californian investor, multimillionaire, and investor in InGen and BioSyn, who established the DEU partly to relieve the enormous pressure surrounding the dinosaur crisis. Working alongside the DFW and DIN, Brooke recruited Joshua Seacrest to lead the first Security Unit, a globe-trotting team responsible for tracking, rescuing, and containing dinosaurs. Born in Canberra in 1987, Joshua moved to America with his family in 1999 and later served as a soldier for the American government. He has strong connections to DIN, conservation organizations, the DFW, and governments worldwide. Despite being an experienced leader with a flight licence, Joshua is not indestructible and has his own weaknesses. Behind the scenes, the DEU’s business division seeks profit through international partnerships, while the Security Team works to make the world safer. The company works closely with the Cretaceous Control Unit, DIN, and the Malibu Research Centre of Dinosaurs (MRCOD). Eventually, captured dinosaurs are transported to Isla Toro, a vast sanctuary near the Five Deaths Archipelago, where they can live under protection. As the DEU grows, its people must balance business, conservation, politics, and the dangerous reality of living alongside dinosaurs. But someone is messing with them. Punja Al-Iqbal was born in 1965 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to the wealthy and infamous Hamza Al-Iqbal and Nicole Davison. From an early age, Punja developed an obsession with dinosaurs, fascinated by them long before Jurassic Park became reality. When the park was announced as being in development, his fascination grew into something far more dangerous. As an adult, Punja became one of the largest investors in InGen, helping fund the company during its partnership with John Hammond and the creation of Jurassic Park. Behind the scenes, however, Punja was willing to go much further than simply investing. He secretly assisted Dennis Nedry with his plan on Isla Nublar, hoping to benefit from the chaos, but the scheme famously failed. Instead of learning from the disaster, Punja became even more determined. Years later, he continues operating in the shadows, using his enormous wealth, connections, and knowledge of dinosaurs to manipulate the crisis for his own ambitions. Now, in 2025, Punja has begun deliberately unleashing increasing numbers of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and marine reptiles across the world. To him, the creatures are not merely animals—they are tools, weapons, and a way to reshape the world. As the DEU fights to protect humanity and contain the spreading dinosaur crisis, Punja remains one of its most dangerous enemies.
