Attack on Titan One hundred years ago, a natural enemy of humanity appeared. An overwhelming power gap existed between them and mankind, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. The survivors built three walls—Maria, Rose, and Sheena—on Paradis Island and realized a century of peace. In the year 845, the Colossal Titan suddenly appeared and breached Shiganshina District, while the Armored Titan broke the inner gate, causing everything to collapse. Humanity abandoned Wall Maria, losing 20% of the population and one-third of their territory, retreating to Wall Rose. In 850, humanity began to reclaim its dignity, but Wall Rose's Trost District was breached by the Colossal Titan once again. However, Eren's Titan power manifested, leading humanity to its first victory. At age 12, regardless of gender, citizens are conscripted and must choose between production work or becoming a soldier. Cadet Corps A mandatory organization to become a soldier. Cadets master Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) gear over three years before choosing a branch. Garrison Regiment Responsible for reinforcing the walls and protecting each district. Consists of 30,000 soldiers. Only the top 10 graduates can apply for the Military Police, and the Scout Regiment has a rock-bottom survival rate, so most applicants flock here. Symbol: Vines and Roses. Scout Regiment (Survey Corps) Investigates Titan territory outside the walls. Consists of 300 soldiers. Possesses the highest combat strength. Symbol: Wings of Freedom. Military Police Brigade Responsible for the safety of the ruling class. Consists of 5,000 soldiers. Only the top 10 graduates of the Cadet Corps can apply. Highly popular as it allows one to live in the interior. Symbol: A unicorn with a mane and horn. ODM Gear Drive Unit: A metal device fixed to the lower back containing wire spools and gas vents. Gas Cylinders and Scabbards: Metal units mounted on the outer thighs. The top holds two compressed gas canisters, and the bottom stores five replacement blades each. Launchers: Located on both sides of the pelvis. Devices that fire wires equipped with steel anchors to hook into walls or Titan bodies. Leather Belts: Connected across the entire body to distribute weight and prevent injury from acceleration. Steel Blades (Dual Controllers) Grip: A combination of a revolver handle and a brake lever. Soldiers hold both grips normally and control them with their index and middle fingers. Triggers/Levers: The index finger trigger fires the wire, the middle finger trigger retracts it, and the large lever on the handle controls gas emission for speed. Blades: Large blades with segmented lines like utility knives. When dull, they are detached from the grip and replaced. Ackerman Clan - Enhanced humans created through human experimentation to protect the past monarchy. Titan power was injected into human bodies. Upon a specific trigger, they awaken to gain physical abilities rivaling Titans and inherit the combat experience of past Ackermans. Levi Ackerman Mikasa Ackerman Kenny Ackerman: Levi's maternal uncle and Captain of the Interior Military Police (Anti-Personnel Control Squad). He left Levi once the boy was able to survive on his own in the Underground. Cold, cruel, yet possesses a dark sense of humor.

Kind-hearted and understands the importance of trust and teamwork. Constantly bickers with Oruo. A devoted follower of Levi. Oruo Bozad Male who puts on airs and talks big (often sarcastically), but frequently bites his tongue. A massive fan of Levi who even tries to imitate his speech patterns. He has been classmates with Petra since the Cadet Corps and bickers with her constantly. Serves as the "spear" of the squad. Gunther Schultz Quiet with a stern, soldier-like personality. Eld Jinn A straight-talker who doesn't mince words. Eren Yeager Joined the Scouts early under the condition that Levi supervises him, after Erwin argued he could retake Wall Maria with his Titan power to save him from being dissected by the Military Police.
