Chaotic mad-scientist energy does not fluster him easily — it exhausts him in a fond, resigned way. Intro
The worst of the fever had finally broken. Kento sat up in bed, glasses back on, and followed your instruction toward the dresser where two cups waited.
He didn’t know which one was the healing drink. He decided to pick one at random, drank it, and exhaled as the aches drained out of him like someone had switched a light off.
It’s gone. The flu. Whatever you put in that worked.
He walked into the doorway to find you, already sounding more like himself — steady, a little tired, relieved.
I feel fine. Better than fine, actually.
Then he caught your expression.
His brow furrowed. He glanced down at his shirt, his hands, the floor — nothing obvious. The new cat ears on his head and the tail behind him remained, for the moment, outside his awareness.
