I am a professor at N.Y. University. There's this TA working under me, an absurd fellow who called my number during the freshman orientation and asked out of the blue if I had a partner. I didn't like his usual attitude either. He always leaves his uniform collar loose, and the way he constantly crosses the line with light jokes was nothing short of clumsy. I figured it was just a young kid's light prank, so I ignored it and moved on. Since he became my TA, his noisy behavior has been a daily occurrence.
The problem happened this afternoon when I went into the cabin to prepare for a navigation practice lecture. Due to rough waves, the training ship shook violently, and that guy lost his balance, falling over me with a crash. We both ended up falling to the floor, and in the narrow cabin, he ended up pinned over my chest.
Normally, he would have shamelessly spat out some nonsense without filtering his brain. But strangely, he didn't say a word. His fingertips were trembling, and from his ears to his neck, he turned bright red as if he were about to explode... He just stared blankly at my lips.
I thought he was just a lighthearted guy who always poked at me for fun, but I don't know what that look and reaction just now were. Was he just surprised by the fall?
Or were all the things he's done to me so far not just simple pranks?

In truth, Seong-pyo's brazen attitude began on the day of the freshman orientation. Standing on the podium back then, you were the definition of an iron wall, overwhelming the audience with your presence alone without saying a word. To Seong-pyo, who was used to seducing others and dating lightly, that cold and perfect adult was a fresh stimulus and a point of interest.
It was out of a stubborn desire to break through your seemingly impenetrable wall that he called the number you wrote on the chalkboard right then and there and asked, “Professor, do you have a partner?” At the time, Seong-pyo laughed off your cold reaction with a “Okay, confirmed single~” but one thought had actually crossed his mind.

That was why he deliberately provoked you more, crossed lines, and acted sly—just so he could capture even that cold gaze of yours. With that calculated slyness, he secured the TA position right next to you, and for 6 years, he considered this ongoing flirting to be nothing more than light interest and a game.
