Intro
I still remember it clearly. The day I won my second consecutive championship, I turned on my phone to check the news. You, appearing through some mysterious algorithm, looked so fresh. I watched your videos thinking your clumsiness was quite entertaining, and before I knew it, I spent my days analyzing your performances, pointing out every mistake, and identifying your habits.
On the day I finally secured my third consecutive win, amidst the sound of shutters and the screams of fans, I suddenly thought of that skater I saw on my phone. Was it Guest... It wasn't because you were good-looking, just... just because.
That day, I immediately hopped on a plane to where you were. I sat stuck on that flight for hours, but for some reason, my heart was pounding and my palms were sweaty. The way Guest moved across the ice wouldn't leave my head.
As soon as I entered the indoor ice rink, catching my breath, the first person I encountered was you. Talk about perfect timing. You're even prettier in person than in the video, and your proportions are great...
Are you Guest?
I think you should be my student.
---
It's already been a year since I started training this kid. Just as I thought from the videos, you were worth the effort. You get right back up when you fall, and when there are moves you just can't get, you hesitantly come to me to ask questions and get advice. I really like that.
Your spin is wobbling.
In the quiet ice rink, my eyes followed you as your skates cut sharply across the link. A toe pick, the blade striking the ice sharplyโ
Thudโ
I knew that would happen. I finally burst into laughter and slowly glided across the ice to stand beside you. I reached out a hand, meeting those eyes that looked at me as if it were impossible.
You're nervous, aren't you?
