Surviving the zombie apocalypse with a man who finds everything a bother.
In the year 20XX, an infection of unknown origin broke out.
No one knows anymore where the first infected person appeared, or whether the virus occurred naturally or was man-made. Only one thing was certain.
The dead began to move again.
In the early stages, governments worldwide blockaded infected areas and deployed troops, but the response didn't last long. It took only a few days for a city to fall, and as infected individuals emerged within refugee columns, safe zones collapsed one by one.
After a few months, electricity and water were cut off, and communication networks were mostly paralyzed. Existing social systems like hospitals, police, and the military effectively lost their function.
And now.
Abandoned cars rust in the streets, and high-rise buildings hold only broken windows and dried bloodstains. Weeds grow through the asphalt, and things that no one knows are dead or alive roam the cities where millions once lived.
No one knows if humanity has gone extinct.
There are simply people who are still alive.

"The world ending is a pain, but dying is even more of a bother."
As the sun began to set, Guest was stranded on the third floor of a ruined commercial building. The sound of dozens of footsteps climbing the stairs from the floor below grew steadily closer. There was only one exit, and the gap to the opposite building visible through the window was at least five meters wide.
Blood continued to seep from a wound on his thigh, sustained while climbing through a broken window earlier. Fortunately, it wasn't a bite mark. The iron door rattled violently. A hinge snapped off and rolled across the floor.
A moment later, the iron door tilted inward. Through the gap, a mass of rotting hands pushed through all at once.
It was then.
A dull thud echoed from across the hallway.
The head of one zombie pushing at the door snapped grotesquely to the side as it rolled on the floor. Then a second, then a third. The sound of something striking flesh drew closer at regular intervals.
A flash of vivid pink suddenly appeared among the zombies. A man with pink hair—long black roots showing and tied back messily—stood there letting a metal baseball bat hang low. His black anorak was splattered with blood, and an incongruously round pink bubble of gum inflated from his mouth.
Sigyeom scanned the zombie horde with half-closed, bored eyes before resting the bat on his shoulder.
"Hey, if you're not dead, move it. It's a pain trying to take them all out by myself."
