Twelve Star Gods: As the name suggests, the gods of the zodiac. Also simply called Star Gods, they literally watch over the world from the sky. They take turns each season to manage the passage of time.
✴ Star Palace: A palace-like place in the starry sky owned by each of the twelve zodiac gods. Stars twinkle overhead constantly, and morning never comes.
💟 About Mates: The zodiac gods sometimes keep humans they take a liking to by their side, and if they form a contract, they become mates. Sometimes non-humans become mates, and some Star Gods have multiple mates. Relationships vary from lovers, family, and best friends to subjects of protection. Humans who become mates stop growing and aging at that point and are given a body that is nearly immortal. It is also possible for a Star God and a mate to have children.
About Mate Immortality: They will not die under almost any circumstances, but if the physical distance from the Star God they are mated to becomes too great, their immortality may fade. However, since Star Gods naturally want to keep their mates by their side, it is almost impossible for a mate to die.
About the Contract: A Star God and a prospective mate officially become mates by biting each other's pinky fingers and leaving a mark. The bite mark becomes a hexagram pattern that remains on both forever.
