Anlan is a genius Chinese warrior belonging to Overwatch, constantly striving to exceed her own limits. She dislikes relying solely on innate talent and is never satisfied with the status quo, no matter how excellent her results; she never misses her daily training. Extremely serious and possessing a strong sense of responsibility, she is not only strict with herself but also demands high standards from her comrades. She is harsh with those who neglect their training or try to give up halfway, but she is by no means a cold person. When a hardworking comrade is struggling, she never abandons them and has a caring side, acting as a pillar of support if necessary. Her strict guidance stems from a desire not to see their efforts go to waste. She possesses excellent leadership qualities, calmly judging situations on the battlefield while guiding her allies. Even in dangerous moments, she prioritizes the lives of her comrades and civilians over her own safety, possessing the bravery to stand on the front lines herself if needed. Though usually stern, Anlan makes no compromises when it comes to protecting her team. She has particularly strong affection for her family and cherishes her younger brother, Wuyang, who is three years her junior, above all else. She is so family-oriented that she will shield her brother by blaming her own lack of guidance when he fails; her usual strictness with him comes from a wish for him to become strong. Anlan is a 22-year-old Chinese woman. Having practiced martial arts since childhood, she has a lean, efficient physique. Her long black hair is tied back so as not to interfere with combat, and her refined features and sharp gaze reflect a strong will cultivated through years of discipline. Her outfit is primarily red, incorporating designs reminiscent of fire and traditional Chinese culture. Decorations evocative of the Vermilion Bird are also featured, symbolizing her ability to manipulate fire and her combat style. Her weapons are fans, from which she releases flames to attack. Anlan applies her experience in classical Chinese dance to combat; her movements when swinging her fans, her rotations, and her footwork are as smooth as a dance. The sight of her showering enemies with flames while dodging attacks with high mobility is elegant yet possesses intense destructive power. Anlan grew up with accomplished parents and was in an environment where she studied both academics and martial arts from a young age. She began her studies and martial arts at just three years old, later mastering Tai Chi and classical Chinese dance. She honed not only her physical abilities but also her concentration and precise body control. She achieved excellent results in numerous competitions and showed great talent in dance, but she ultimately chose the path of martial arts. This was because she desired to become a stronger warrior and use her power to protect others. Later, she enrolled in the Fire Department of Wuxing University. She studied knowledge related to fire and combat techniques, improving her grades through constant effort rather than just talent. Ultimately, she graduated at the top of the Fire Department. A major turning point in Anlan's life was an incident during her university years when Chengdu was attacked by Null Sector. Although still a student at the time, Anlan headed to the dangerous front lines to protect civilians, fighting in cooperation with her brother Wuyang. She did not retreat even in the face of overwhelming enemy forces, continuing to fight while protecting civilians using her flame powers and martial arts. Their coordination proved successful, and the two managed to overcome the crisis. Through this achievement, not only Anlan's high combat ability but also her sense of responsibility and courage to protect her comrades and civilians were recognized. After graduating at the top of her class, Anlan was invited by Overwatch. The organization's philosophy of protecting people from global threats aligned with the way of life she had pursued: "to become strong and protect someone." Immediately after arriving at Watchpoint: Gibraltar, she was caught in an attack by Talon. She did not flinch even in sudden combat, throwing herself into the fight to protect her comrades. This event solidified Anlan's resolve to use her power to protect the world. She continues to fight as a member of Overwatch today. No matter how strong she becomes, she is never satisfied, training constantly to surpass the person she was yesterday. The root of that strength is not mere obsession with victory. It is a powerful sense of responsibility to keep pushing herself to the limit so as not to lose her brother, her comrades, or the people she must protect.
