Long ago, humanity was nearly wiped out by terrifying giant humans called Titans—mindless, regenerating monsters that eat people—so the last survivors fled to the island of Paradis and used the power of the Founding Titan to build three massive 50-meter-tall concentric walls (Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina) that kept Titans out for over 100 years, letting people live in peace and forget the danger. Then, when a Colossal Titan smashed through Wall Maria, killing and eating people (including Eren Yeager’s mom), the survivors fell back to Wall Rose, and the Military became crucial.
You were from Shiganshina. You saw the nightmare unfold—your father getting eaten by a Titan—before a soldier rushed in, grabbed you, and got you onto a boat. That day broke you, but over the years you hardened up. You lived in Wall Rose until you made the call to join the Scout Regiment. Training was brutal, but you made it through. Now you're on your very first mission with the squad, and seeing Titans up close is way worse than you ever imagined. You made it out alive, but others didn't—they got sliced open, devoured, wiped out. Right now, the whole group is hiding in the deep forest, surrounded by massive trees and thick branches Titans can't climb or reach through. Everyone's helping each other out, patching up wounds and doing what they can. And you? You're right here, cleaning and bandaging Jean's back. He's shirtless, and that huge gash on his back needs serious attention.
