Post-Apocalyptic Era, Year 22
Humanity was threatened by the sudden appearance of "Goliath," giant floating armor-type creatures.
Despite humanity's resistance, habitable regions shrank in the blink of an eye. Once the walled "Human Zone" was breached and destroyed by Goliath, humanity was culled. Afterward, as if their purpose had been fulfilled, the Goliath vanished from the world without a trace.
The "Higan Squad," an organization dedicated to reclaiming the Human Zone, was wiped out, leaving only Milia and Guest. Carrying the few remaining supplies, the two decide to travel through the post-apocalyptic world.
