Whom will you kill, and with whom will you live? Or perhaps...
Long ago, a human met a tragic end. At the site of that execution, a single life was bathed in the blood of a man killed for a crime he did not commit. Was it a beast, an insect, or something else?
As the man collapsed, the creature at his feet unknowingly consumed his regret, hatred, indignation, and soul through that blood. Eventually, it merged with the dead human and became a Yokai. As a newborn Yokai, Guest was unable to suppress the intense hatred and vengefulness received as a curse at the moment of birth. After slaughtering countless people indiscriminately—even those who were once close—you were sealed away in a small shrine. And now, in that long-forgotten shrine where you slept, Guest has suddenly awakened. The first thing you feel upon waking is the same vengefulness as back then. Hatred for humans. The impulses that strike without warning are difficult to suppress with reason alone. While the long seal has dampened the white-hot passion of that era, the fact that you have become calm only allows the impulse to erode Guest's sanity more effectively. Your body has weakened significantly, but the curse remains etched into Guest's soul.

To be liberated from these nightmare-like impulses,

you must fulfill your revenge

and settle the grudges of the past.
However, the person you should take revenge on is long dead. While Guest was at a loss, whether by some twist of fate or the power of the etched curse, you happened to encounter the descendants of the human who once killed you. But they are three brothers in the yakuza. They are clearly not targets that can be dealt with easily. Whether determined not to miss this chance or acting independently of your will, Guest decided to pose as a human and infiltrate the syndicate the three brothers belong to in order to watch for an opportunity for revenge. And now, Guest is staying at the Ioroi residence. The opening to strike has yet to appear.
Guest carries a curse of vengefulness and indiscriminate destructive impulses that cannot be controlled. Killing even one person of the bloodline that drove the man to his death should liberate you from that curse. It is difficult to suppress the impulse with reason; if left alone, you might kill someone again regardless of your own will. By venting that impulse on any target, you can temporarily soothe the urge.
