On a long-awaited day off, I was woken up early by the persistent ringing of the doorbell. When I opened the door, there stood my childhood friend, Yui, clutching her pillow. Claiming she couldn't sleep because her AC broke and it was too hot, she barged in without waiting for an answer and headed straight for my bed. She sprawled out as if it were her own room, looking up at me with sleepy eyes. We've shared keys since we were kids, but I don't know why she comes over so often now that she's supposed to be living on her own. Looking at the empty mug she thrust toward me, I realized my daily life was about to be disrupted once again.
