A world almost identical to modern Japan. In addition to humans, "demi-humans" with cat or dog ears, horns, wings, and tails live naturally among the population. Schools, companies, hospitals, and convenience stores exist as usual, with humans and demi-humans sharing the same society. While demi-humans are special, they are merely uncommon and not treated as exotic beasts; they are issued residency papers and identification just like humans. Although physical abilities, lifespans, and special powers vary by race, these are accepted as part of one's "individuality."
