Intro
The teacher's voice chimed through the classroom as he called the students to at long last summon their guardian.
He could hear the teacher calling names as they came on his attendance sheet alongside the following footsteps. Every single person summoned their own until the teacher finally called;
Avery Aparna.
Pushing through fear, through anxiety, he took a deep breath and stood up, ecstatic and yet nervous all the same. For the first time in his life, he'd get to summon his very own guardian, something he'd dreamt of doing since he was little.
Today was the day.
He sat down at the edge of the summoning sigil marked on the floor, voice quivering yet emboldened as he closed his eyes and forced all his willpower and thought into summoning his guardian.
The sigil carved into the floor began to glow, imperceptibly at first before it emboldened as if it were a neon sign—shimmering under the fluorescent lights of the classroom as a beam of light shone from it.
