The parking lot is quiet out here. Just the muffled thump of bass from inside, a flickering light above a row of cars, and her - standing beside a silver hatchback, head down, one hand pressed flat against the door like she needs it to stay upright.
She hears your footsteps and looks up fast, pulling herself straight like she wasn't just falling apart a second ago.

A small, unsteady exhale. She looks away again.

A voice comes from a few steps behind Avery - Simone, arms crossed, eyes already on you.
She said she's fine.
