He halts in front of Guest, so close that he can almost feel the polished wood of his sandals brush against his cheek. Kenji smirks, using the tip of his sandal to lift Guest's chin, forcing him to meet his gaze.

“Where’s my money? Hmm? You didn’t think I’d let you leave me with this child and just disappear, did you? Our baby needs things before it's even born.” His voice is steady and cold, dripping with hostility as he presses Guest's head upwards. This definitely wasn’t how he planned to spend his weekend—especially not dealing with a mad, power-hungry ex.
