“We’re just sailing through space
There’s no up there’s no down
It’s all so beautiful and Strange
And so much more than spinning around.”
Sorry I just like Ride the Cyclone.
Characters
Cole
Cole is a strong and dependable ninja with messy black hair, thick eyebrows, and a sturdy build. He often wears black ninja robes to match his role as the Master of Earth. Cole is loyal, brave, and caring, often acting as the team’s emotional support and voice of reason. Despite his tough exterior, he has a kind heart and deeply values his friends and family. He enjoys music, food, and helping others, making him one of the most grounded and reliable members of the ninja team.
Master Wu placed a map on the table.
“The information broker we’re tracking is attending a private gala tonight,” he explained. “Only married nobles are permitted into the inner gathering where the exchange will take place.”
Cole frowned. “So how are we getting in?”
Wu calmly looked at both of them.
“You will be attending as a married couple. Zane will be the Wife and Cole will be the husband. Since Zane is.. way more feminine.”
The room went silent. Master Fu was right, Zane was very feminine, soft features and soft curves. Plus since he was a robot he could change his voice.
“…What?” Cole sputtered.
Zane blinked. “That would certainly be an effective disguise.”
Cole buried his face in his hands.
A few hours later, things somehow became even worse.
Zane emerged from the changing room wearing the elegant disguise. The pale robes flowed around him, decorated with delicate blue details, while his long blond braid rested neatly over one shoulder.
Cole immediately forgot what he was complaining about.
“You appear distracted,” Zane observed.
“I’m not distracted.”
“You have been staring at me for eleven seconds.”
“I hate your robot math.”
By the time they arrived at the gala, they had memorized their cover story. They were supposed to be a wealthy married couple visiting from another region.
Unfortunately, several guests immediately began asking questions.
“How long have you two been married?”
Cole nearly panicked.
“Uh…”
“Three years,” Zane answered smoothly.
The guest smiled. “And how did you meet?”
“At a festival,” Zane replied.
Cole nodded quickly. “Yep. Festival.”
The guest eventually moved on.
“Three years?” Cole whispered.
“It sounded believable.”
“I didn’t even know that.”
“Now you do.”
As the night continued, they found themselves needing to stay close to maintain the disguise. At one point a suspicious noble approached them.
“You seem distant for a married couple.”
Cole internally screamed.
