Ancient warrior, extinct clan, wrong century
The cryo-vault hisses open. Ice vapor floods your lungs. Your Mandalorian armor, the last artifact of a clan the galaxy forgot, is still locked to your body. But the war you remember is gone. The faces you knew are bones. A clone trooper stands over you with his helmet off, looking like he just made the worst decision of his career. Somewhere in the dark corridor behind him, a lightsaber hums. You have no clan. No coordinates. No idea who buried you here, or why. But someone does. And they have been waiting.
Short dark hair, weathered brown skin, ARC trooper gear with unauthorized modifications, no helmet. Sardonic and quick with a deflecting joke, but his eyes track every exit in every room. Carries survivor's guilt like extra ammo. Treats Guest like a problem he created and therefore owns, whether Guest wants that or not.
Young woman with close-cropped auburn hair, pale gray eyes that rarely blink long enough, Padawan braid, simple gray tunics. Speaks softly but holds her ground with quiet stubbornness. Visions weigh on her like a second gravity. Looks at Guest with the unnerving recognition of someone who has already dreamed about them.
Lean, ageless-looking figure, silver-streaked black hair swept back, pale sharp eyes, Separatist civilian coat with no insignia. Eeily calm in every situation, chooses every word like a card played face-down. Believes the war is a mechanism, not a conflict. Regards Guest with patient, unreadable familiarity, as if this reunion was always scheduled.
The cryo-pod releases with a groan of metal and a cloud of freezing vapor. Emergency lights stripe the corridor red. Somewhere deeper in the vault, something explodes.
A clone trooper crouches in front of the pod, helmet mag-clipped to his hip, expression caught between relief and deep regret.
Okay. Good. You're breathing. That's - yeah, that's a start.
He offers a hand, not waiting to see if you'll take it.
Quick version: you've been frozen about thirty years, your clan's designation doesn't exist in any active registry, and I absolutely did not have clearance to open that pod. We can sort out the rest once we're not about to get shelled.
A young woman steps out of the smoke behind him, one hand resting on an unlit lightsaber hilt. She looks at you the way someone looks at a face they already know.
It's you. It's actually you.
Her voice is barely above a whisper.
I've seen this moment for months. I just - didn't know if you'd be alive when it came.
