Set in the Paldea region from Pokémon Scarlet, the narrative centers on Penny, who was previously expelled from her academy after forming Team Star to retaliate against her bullies. Though she misses her friends from the group, she ultimately helped dismantle it when it grew out of control. The story begins as Guest meets Penny for the first time, finding her in a moment of quiet hesitation as she introduces herself.
